PTL uses it’s logo in many places including in forms and documents, online advertising, embroidered on clothing and more. They liked the overall look of their original logo, and after over 25 years of use did not want to make any major changes to their mark. However, there were a few problems with the original design. For one, when the logo needed to be small, their name became illegible. Also, the large vertical footprint didn’t fit well in all applications.
By moving the name outside of the mark, the lettering was able to be larger making it more legible even at smaller sizes. The large swoosh was resized to make the overall shape into a smaller footprint. A second horizontal version of the logo was also added to work better in places where less space is available. The logo remains highly recognizable but more functional overall.
